upcoming events....

The Spanish Branch has invited us to some of their activities, if you would like to attend them...

Tuesday August 4th, 2009 @ 7 PM

We will receive instruction from Maralin Hoff, community outreach specialist for Utah state's Division of Homeland Security, aka "The Earthquake Lady" for her earthquake-preparation presentations.

Saturday August 15th, 2009 @ 11 AM

Leisa Card from idareyoutoeatit.com will be speaking to us. The only thing is that because we are focusing on translating everything into Spanish, it may go a little slower than it normally would in a regular presentation. If you don't mind that little delay, it might actually help to catch up with the speaker and take great notes! Anyway, just wanted to share, since it seems like we can't hear enough about Emergency Preparedness - there's so much we can all learn! Each presentation will be about an hour and a half long with a Q&A session at the end.

Also our RS retreat is on August 14-15th, we can get up there as early as 2 pm on Friday and need to leave by 5 pm on Saturday. Dinner will be at 6:30 followed by a devotional at 7:30.

Be prepared for it to be chilly. If you're planning on staying the night, bring a sleeping bag, pillow, air/foam mattress, blankets, possibly a flashlight.

Transportation will be provided if you need a ride, just let one of the presidency know. We hope you can make it, should be a really great weekend.

I know that the R.S. retreat is on the 14th, but what time does it start? I was contemplating picking up a shift early that day, so i wanted to plan accordingly. Could you post that for me?
